When Apurva Garware joined Invisible in 2024 as the Head of Product, she knew a strong vision was essential for creating a product with a lasting impact–a product that was as bold as it was adaptable. She came to Invisible with a mission: to build a platform that could empower organizations to redefine operational efficiency in a rapidly changing world.
But Invisible’s journey to this vision didn’t start overnight. In our early days, the company first carved out a niche by creating a popular offering: executive assistance as a service. After attracting a dedicated client base and seeing success, we considered how we could scale for the long-term. That opportunity presented itself as the world faced the pandemic. Invisible pivoted, leveraging our operational expertise to help clients like DoorDash and Grubhub bring restaurants online. This move not only broadened Invisible’s service offerings, but also laid the groundwork for something greater.
“Invisible’s story isn’t just about the product we’re building; it’s about constantly evolving to meet the needs of the moment,” Apurva reflects. “When I came onboard, I saw an opportunity to take the foundation Invisible had built and shape it into a cohesive, tech-enabled ecosystem that could drive efficiency on a whole new level.”
These efforts solidified Invisible’s role in enabling businesses to adapt and thrive. Now, Invisible is on the forefront, collaborating with AI leaders such as OpenAI, AWS, Microsoft, and Cohere to create innovative tools that transform how businesses operate.
The product vision for Invisible is both ambitious and meticulously crafted, aiming to create a platform that anticipates client needs, simplifies operational complexity, and drives meaningful change.
“Our vision is to be the one stop shop for any company anywhere in the world that wants to lift its operational burden and outsource it. Our goal isn’t just to create a product that ‘works.’ We’re building a product that’s intuitive and transformative—something that will make a real difference for our clients, partners, agents, and even our own team,” she explains. “We want to create a product that anticipates challenges before they even surface… a platform that’s really resistant, extensible, and scalable.
“We do this by leveraging the latest AI models and cutting-edge technology tools in every aspect of our experience, which incidentally we also help build with frontier foundational model companies like OpenAI and Cohere. Our AI expertise helps us leapfrog traditional BPOs and drive instant revenue/margin wins to our clients.”
This vision is more than a list of features. The roadmap is crafted with a deep understanding of the four unique users who rely on the platform daily—each playing a critical role in bringing Invisible’s mission to life. Here’s how the product roadmap serves each of these users:
“What we’re building here has to adapt to each new challenge our clients face and create a connective tissue to make sure there’s a cohesive experience in the context of each of our users. Our product needs to be as dynamic as the people who use it, and that’s where the excitement really lies for me.”
Apurva’s mission isn’t just about building a groundbreaking product; it’s about cultivating a team that can bring the roadmap to life, tackling some of the industry’s toughest challenges along the way. She’s seeking individuals who are curious, adaptable, and excited about “building the plane as we fly it,” as she puts it.
“We’re building a team that thrives on adaptability and autonomy, not on following a set path or playbook,” she explains. “It’s about everyone bringing their unique perspective and skills to the table, creating something meaningful together.”
Invisible’s Product team includes experts in UX design, data science, AI, and more, each contributing essential insights to a collaborative, dynamic environment. And for Apurva, it’s about finding people who are eager to shape the future of Invisible’s product and help drive its mission forward.
Apurva adds. “That responsibility keeps us driven even on the toughest days, knowing we’re building something that will make a real difference for anyone who touches it.”
Apurva doesn’t shy away from the challenges ahead. Building a product that combines AI’s precision with the flexibility of human oversight is complex, requiring both technical rigor and creativity. She’s candid about the high expectations and the resilience required to succeed in this environment.
“Invisible isn’t for everyone,” she says. “It’s for people who are driven by a challenge, who are ready to work hard and get comfortable with ambiguity. For me, it’s about building a group of people who see obstacles as opportunities—who want to be part of creating something meaningful.”
Invisible values people who bring a sense of ownership to their roles—people Apurva describes as “owners, not renters,”—who are committed to the long-term and are eager to take risks, learn from failures, and continually push the product forward. This team fully embraces independence, resilience, and the humility to recognize areas for growth.
“The right people for this team are those who find excitement in a fast-paced environment and who want a front-row seat to a revolution that’s going to change the world for generations to come,” Apurva shares. “For me, it’s a privilege to be here, and we’re looking for those who are just as excited to be part of it.”
